Recipes For Detox Diet

Detoxing the body is a good idea for anyone, whether you are basically healthy or are suffering from any kind of health condition. There is no one who would not benefit from doing some kind of detoxifying, simply because the world we live in today contains so many impurities. The food we eat, the water we drink (even if it's bottled), the air we breathe, and the soil where are food grows is all polluted. So there is no one, unless perhaps if you live in a remote, unpolluted region of the world, who could not use some detoxifying.

Detoxifying the body does not have to be a mysterious process. The body naturally wants to rid itself of unhealthy substances, and our cells and organs are set up to do just this. There are, fortunately, specific foods and supplements that can aid this process. There are many products for sale today that are good mixtures of such items. You can also save money and make them yourself at home. Here are some ideas for recipes to help you detox. Some of these require a blender, juicer or food processor. In all cases, you should adjust quantities depending on your needs and how many people or servings you want.

** Basic Detox Fruit and Vegetable Juice:

This is very basic, but extremely healthy. This is good for many things, but is especially good at regulating blood pressure and cholesterol and may reduce the risk of many cancers. It can be taken daily or at least several times per week for good results:

** Super Anti-Oxidant Juice

This is great for all around health and detoxifying.

** Ultra-Healthy Yogurt Mix:
This is a great way to start the day. Just mix these up with a spoon, no mixer needed here.

1 cup of organic plain yogurt (either whole milk or nonfat)
1 Tablespoon of blackstrap molasses
1 teaspoon of goji berries
1 Tablespoon of wheat germ

** Detox Cereal Special

This transforms your breakfast cereal into a superfood meal. Start with a healthy, preferably organic cereal without any refined sugar, which you can find in health food stores.
